Ticket to Write – 40

Aragorn Drowning

Bad day, couldn’t really think about anything else.

Aragorn Drowning_double

Between an assignment
that is not just hard it is
by definition of terms impossible
and need-to-buy-guns
because ‘Geddon – oh and a wig –
and writing
a publication-quality paper
in a week
and a story – those are hard now –
and God knows how many
theologians left to do (read)
and practice
for the tournament
and study for exams
& there’s a fight next week
& all the buses are
so loud
I can’t think & so late
and the weather has been
foul for months
& it would be nice to sleep
once in a while… *breathe*am breathing*
All I want to do anymore
is get dressed up to the nines
& find a nice highway
& sit down in the middle of it
& wait.
But I have
to graduate
so it is not this day.
